Hi,  My name is Trudy Wehl.

I live with my family on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales Australia.

As any parent has experienced, once their children get to a certain age there is a bit of coming and going from the family home.  At the moment I have my son Matt and my daughter Ashley as well as her partner Jim living with me.  I also have another daughter Jaime and an absolutely gorgeous grandson called Caleb.

Presently I work at Sydney Olympic Park which is a 75 minute journey down the F3 freeway if all is going well.  If all is not well it can take up to 6 hours on a bad day.  (This actually happened on a Friday night after a 35 vehicle pileup on Mooney Mooney bridge.)

After a working week of more than 50 hours on average a lot of my free time is spent doing the usual chores – washing, cleaning, fitting in time for family & friends – noticed how I said fitting in time instead of spending time.

OK, so what am I going to do about changing this situation? Do I continue the way I am and wishfully think about a simpler, easier life?  Or do I take action and start today, this hour, this minute?  Taking baby steps but steps all the same to an easier life – Hey, I want to be Livin’ Easy within 12 months.

I plan to downshift my life, simplify it, make it easier.

I want to be Livin’ Easy within 1 year!.  But how am I going to do this?

I need to learn to:

  • Live frugally, buying only what I need
  • Change my mindset from one of Living to Work to Work to Live
  • Create a sustainable lifestyle
  • Take little from the world and Community I live in and give back more by becoming more involved in it and part of it.
  • Cook from product growing in my organic permaculture garden
  • Do more with less
  • Recycle in a more committed fashion
  • De-clutter and get organised
  • Take a look at my life and resolve issues that I don’t like

OK, when do I start, where do I start?

I start today, this hour, this minute

I start by declaring my intent to you – will you come with me on this journey? Will you share my thoughts, my experiences? Will you come with me, share your ideas, show me what you do and be part of this lifetime journey?
